From the source of the Isar via Scharnitz, you first head into the Karwendel mountains, where the Isar rushes through gorges and then changes into a flat gravel bed. From the Sylvenstein reservoir via Bad Tölz and the rafting town of Wolfratshausen, you reach Munich.
