Description

Coros packs an enormous range of functions into its Vertix 2 Dual GPS watch that really leaves nothing to be desired. And with its battery power, it will keep going even when everyone around you has long since folded. Whether you're an ambitious competitive athlete or an alpinist, this watch is your perfect match.

Let's take a look at the battery right away. According to the manufacturer, the watch lasts a whole 140 hours with the highest GPS accuracy, and it really does keep its promise (90 hours when all satellite systems are switched on). In ultra-max mode, you can even be on the move for 240 hours, and in normal mode you only need to hook up the charging cable after 60 days. With the built-in 32GB memory, you can listen to music without your phone while training, and the battery will still last 35 hours.

With precise heart rate measurement at the wrist and a connection to all common satellite systems, the watch provides very accurate values for your training. In addition, the watch shows you your running power - the watt measurement works without additional devices and provides realistic results. Thanks to the ECG (electrocardiogram) function of the VERTIX 2, you can also measure your heart rate variability (HRV) directly on your wrist.

You can then evaluate all these values as well as your sleep with the Coros app on your mobile phone. Speaking of apps: Of course, you can connect the watch to all common training apps.

If you venture into unknown terrain, you can also download routes to the watch and navigate accordingly. You don't just follow breadcrumbs, you can also download real (topographic) map material from Coros for offline use.

If you're venturing into alpine terrain, you'll be glad to know that the built-in pulse oximeter allows you to track your oxygen saturation, so you can avoid altitude sickness and better assess your acclimatisation.

The titanium case with titanium bezel and sapphire crystal (with large touchscreen display) make the Vertex 2 an extremely robust piece that will go with you on your adventures. And should any doubts arise as to whether Coros can play in the concert of the greats: Eliud Kipchoge, arguably the best marathon runner of all time, trusts in these watches.
