Description

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs along the sea for 299 km. The path never gets boring, because behind every bay and every hill a new fantastic view of rock formations, cliffs, caves, stone arches and offshore islands awaits the walker. The sparsely populated coast has been a national park for more than half a century. Since 1952, the slimmer hiking trail has been improved year after year and now includes 619 signposts, 126 crossings, 280 gates and over 4,200 steps. Few hiking trails offer such a perfect interplay of water, green land, untouched nature and silence, interrupted only by the screeching of seagulls.

Ingrid Retterath, Frank Wendler | Conrad Stein Verlag | 1st edition 2011
